NCMS Girls Wrestling Team Travels to Marysville

On Friday, January 26th, the NCMS girls wrestlers traveled to Marysville after having a competition just one day before at Holton. The girls went in ready to work hard for some wins. 

At 92 pounds Cora Langill wrestled one time and ended up winning. Payson Rottinghaus wrestled at 103 pounds. Payson tried her best but lost all of her matches. Khloe Crevier wrestled at 104 pounds. Khloe fought but also lost all of her matches. The three seventh-grade girls have been working hard this season and did a good job at this Marysville meet. 

Cora said, “Friends that wrestle together stay together.”

Three eighth graders wrestled and also fought hard. Wrestling at 135 pounds, Lexi Lewis. Lexi put up a fight against her opponents, but she lost both of her matches. Charli Fleagle wrestled at 145 pounds. She fought as much as she could and won one of her matches, but lost the other one. Delayna Ellis wrestled at 193 pounds. Delayna put up a very good fight but lost both of her matches. The girls will continue to practice hard so they’re ready for their next competition at NCHS on February 2nd.
