The NCMS Girls Wrestling Team had their last meet on Friday, February 2nd. They all wrestled very well and some of them won in their bracket play.
Cora Langill wrestled at 90 pounds and won all three of her matches making her win first place in her bracket. Payson Rottinghaus wrestled at 102 pounds and lost her two matches, putting her get sixth place. Khloe Crevier wrestled at 104 pounds and lost her two matches. Khloe received fourth place at the tournament.
Seventh Grade Wreslter, Khloe Crevier, said, “It was our last meet and everyone wrestled very well. It’s been a fun season!”
Three eighth graders wrestled at this last meet of the season. Lexi Lewis wrestled at 135 pounds and won two of her matches and lost the last one. Lexi placed second in her weight bracket. Charli Fleagle wrestled at 140 pounds and won one of her matches and lost her last one. Charli also placed second in her bracket. Wrestling at 193 pounds was Delayna Ellis. Delayna lost both of her matches, placing her in sixth place.
“We all had fun and tried our best, and some of us even came out with some wins,” commented Lexi Lewis, Eight Grade Wrestler.
